Fire Hose Testing :
All fire hose shall be inspected and service tested in accordance with the applicable requirements of NFPA1962, Standard for the Care, Use and Service Testing of Fire Hose Including Couplings and Nozzles.
Ground Ladder Testing:
SAFETY FIRST Ground Ladder Testing Service helps ensure that the ladders your firefighters will be using will be safe, reliable, and perform as needed. SAFETY FIRST uses the guidelines established by the NFPA 1932 Standard "Use, Maintenance, and Service Testing of Fire Department Ground Ladders" to test your fire departments' aluminum, wood, and fiberglass ground ladders. Under the NFPA 1932 guidelines, we test by using:
- Visual Inspections
- Horizontal Bending Test
- Roof Hook Test
- Hardware Test
The SAFETY FIRST inspection procedure is a reliable way of detecting the deterioration of mechanical properties which make a ladder weak and unsafe for use.
Apparatus Pump Testing:
Fire pumps on apparatus shall be service tested in accordance with the applicable requirements of NFPA 1911, Standard for Service Tests of Pumps on Fire Department Apparatus. This standard covers the service testing of fire pump systems on automotive fire apparatus and establishes the site, environmental and equipment requirements for proper pump system performance testing, as well as the frequency and procedures to be followed in performing tests. This standard applies to the conduct of in-service tests of fire pump systems on fire apparatus to ensure that the pump continues to be capable of the performance for which it is designed.
